Lobularia maritima is a delicate, fine-textured plant with masses of white blooms set against variegated foliage. It is spectacular in hanging baskets or cascading over the edges of large pots. This relative of Sweet Alyssum grows to larger proportions than the seed-grown annuals, making a bolder statement in the garden. Plant them in full sun in loamy, well-drained soil. Feed them regularly to enhance their performance.
