How to buy online

Online shopping has made the world so much easier and our store is no exception!

1. Navigate to our ‘online store‘ tab, from here you can select a product category from the drop down menu.
2. Click on a plant/item you would like to view. This will take you to the product page where you can select your variant (Pot size), add the quantity you would like, view more photos, and get more information about the product.
3. Once you have selected your variants and quantities add the product to your cart by clicking the ‘Add to basket’ button.
4. You can navigate to any other page and your products will now be saved in your basket. Your basket will store all your wanted products until you are ready to proceed to checkout.
5. Once you are ready to complete your order click on the shopping cart icon (Top right). Scan through the list to ensure you have all the items you want and click on ‘Checkout’.
6. You will be redirected to the checkout page. Here you can add your billing details, add your shipping address, and view your order summary.
7. Once your shipping address has been added our system will automatically calculate your shipping charges and add it to your total.
8. Once you are happy with everything you can click on ‘Place order’. This will redirect you to the payfast dashboard to view our payment options. Select the option which you are most comfortable with and complete your purchase.
9. Our payment options are all secured and protected. If you are not comfortable with paying online you can send us an email to online@plantland.co.za with details of your order, your contact details, and delivery address. We will then create a manual quote which you can pay via EFT.

Our shipping costs explained

Our shipping costs are weight and province based – they will automatically be calculated at checkout.
We ship all our orders using The Courier Guy. They charge according to dimensions and weight therefore, our shipping charges start at a base rate of R200 and then goes up per kg. Please keep in mind that plants do weigh more than your average online shopping items and this may reflect in your shipping costs. We are continuously updating our processes to ensure this cost is as low as possible.

How we process and pack your order

Once we receive your order we start our process.

1. We select the best quality from our stock and set them aside to ensure they can’t be sold to someone else.
2. From there your plants are taken to our packing facilities where they are watered, inspected, and groomed. A final check is done to ensure everything is up to standard before packing.
3. We assemble our enforced cardboard boxes and add your items to the box. Your items will be tightly packed to ensure they do not move around during transit. You will also receive an order summary in the box.
4. Once your items have been packed we seal the box and add disclaimer stickers all over the box to ensure the couriers are aware that they need to be careful with your order.
5. We then book your order for collection.

When can you expect your order once placed

Gauteng – order placed Mon – Thursday Morning

• Processing starts same day and will take 1 -2 business days to complete.
• Delivery takes 1 – 3 business days from collection.
• You can expect your order to be delivered 2-4 business days after we begin processing.

Gauteng – order placed Thursday Afternoon – Sunday

• Processing starts Monday on a first in first out basis.
• Processing will take 1 – 2 business days to complete.
• Delivery takes 1 – 3 business days from collection.
• You can expect your order to be delivered 2 – 4 days after we begin processing.

Outside of Gauteng – order placed Mon – Thursday Morning

• Processing starts same day and will take 1 – 2 business days to complete.
• Delivery takes 2 – 4 business days from collection. This is dependant on your address.
• You can expect your order to be delivered 2 – 5 business days after we begin processing.

Outside of Gauteng – order placed Thursday Afternoon – Sunday

• Processing starts Monday on a first in first out basis.
• Processing will take 1 – 2 business days to complete.
• Delivery takes 2 – 4 business days from collection.
• You can expect your order to be delivered 2 – 5 business days after we begin processing.
